April 14(Thu) 2005
The weather was cloudy and after rainy according to the weather report. I got a young man in Shirogane at 11:00AM; he had a vinyl bag containing a videotape. He said “I guide you. Please go straight, turn right at the next crossing, a video rental shop on the left side of the street. I have to return this video. Wait a few minutes.” I waited a few minutes and he returned, and said “Please turn left at the second traffic signal, there is a laundry about 100 meters ahead. Wait a few minutes.” I waited and he return with a bag full of clean clothes, and said “Sorry. There is a convenient store in the corner at the second crossing. Wait a few minutes.” I waited and he return with a lunch box. Maybe it was his lunch. Again he said “Excuse me. Turn left at the next crossing and I will get off there.” I said “Okay,” and turn left. Oh! That the point where I picked him up before. I said “Thank you very much.” I realized I was like his slave driver. Never mind! I looked at the car’s clock; it was 11:30AM. I felt hungry. I did not need to look inside my lunch box. I knew there were two rice balls, bacon and a boiled egg. Today’s sales amount was 41,000 yen. Bad!
